PeKo Publishing Kft. (based in Hungary) specialize themselves publishing hardcover books that cover various Tanks of World War II. After reviewing this book, it seems they do a very good job and make their name worth into specializing in WWII Tanks. Such reference literature is a good source for all tank enthusiasts – and in this case – who are digging into the history of Sturmgeschütze (Assault Guns) or a modeller whose looking for perfection in his tank modelling. The third volume of “Sturmgeschütz III on the Battlefield” from PeKo publishing is a great learn tool and resource to do so; a fine addition to all libraries of tank enthusiasts and modellers.

The book covers 103 large format photographs of high quality (!) on a total of 111 pages. Due these big pictures, you won’t miss out any detail of the StuGs featured in the book. The pictures come along with a bilingual, highly detailed description (both English and Hungarian) in which all variants (Ausführungen) of the Sturmgeschütz III are clearly explained, (field) modifications are pointed out and all aspects of each vehicle is discussed. The photographs are from Péter Kocsis’s collection and various other Collections – Archives of which most will be new to the reader. They are for the most part taken on the Eastern Front and are depicted between 1940 – 1945.

The books of PeKo Publishing are becoming an unmissable resource (because of high quality printing and large, exclusive photographs with detailed description) for all tank enthusiasts & modellers so be sure to keep an eye open for both their older and newer publications.
