1944: Forced to Fight
Good news for Europeans who were waiting to have the subtitled version of the Estonian World War II Movie “1944” (in Germany released as Brüder / Feinde). The movie has been released in the United Kingdom (also available to all other European countries) as “1944: Forced to Fight”
1944: Forced to Fight deals with the events of 1944 in Estonia, from the Battle of Tannenberg Line in July until the Sõrve Peninsula fell into the hands of the Red Army in November. The film focuses on the individual within the context of war, rather than war itself, and shows the war from both perspectives – those of the Red Army and the German Army.

Allied
The story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
The movie will be starring: Brad Pitt, Lizzy Caplan, Marion Cotillard and Matthew Goode. The director is Robert Zemeckis, known for films such as Forest Gump, Cast Away and Flight. Allied will be released on: November 23, 2016.

USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage
USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage is an upcoming war movie which is directed by Mario Van Peebles and written by Cam Cannon and Richard Rionda Del Castro. Star actor is Nicolas Cage who will play Captain Charles Butler McVay, other starring actors are Tom Sizemore, Thomas Jane, Matt Lanter, Brian Presley and Cody Walker. The movie is set for release on May 30, 2016 during Memorial Day however there is currently no official trailer. Hannibal Classics has developed the film for five years, consulting with survivors, the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Hacksaw Ridge
Mel Gibson has started production on World War II drama Hacksaw Ridge in New South Wales, Australia, starring Andrew Garfield, Vince Vaughn and Sam Worthington. The first photographs for this new upcoming drama have been released.
The movie is based on the life of Desmond T. Doss, a medic who served during the Battle of Okinawa, who refused to kill or carry a weapon into combat and becomes the first Conscientious Objector in American history to earn the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Five Seconds of Silence
Set in 1942 following a French-Canadian spy who falls in love and marries a French agent during a dangerous mission in Casablanca. He is notified that his wife is likely a Nazi spy and begins his own investigation of her.
The film stars Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard, Lizzy Caplan, and Jared Harris. The film will be released on November 23, 2016 by Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox. Principal photography began in March 2016 in London.

This new upcoming movie will tell the incredible story of a remarkable operation that took place in 1942 in Czechoslovakia. Anthropoid is based on a true event, Operation Anthropoid which was the code name for the assassination of SS-Obergruppenführer and General der Polizei Reinhard Heydrich, head of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (Reich Main Security Office, RSHA), the combined security services of Germany, and acting Reichsprotektor of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
