For the two wars, the New York National Guard kept track of each death of a member of the Armed Forces who called New York home or served through the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum.
Now those names have been added to a free, searchable database developed by Syracuse.com that lists 64,000 New Yorkers killed in the line of duty during World War I, World War II, and the wars in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.

– Information missing: The type of information collected and how complete it is varies from war to war as well as among the branches of service. Location information such as county or, in some cases, hometown are missing.
* You can enter part of a name too. Some names, such as McCann or LaDieu, may or may not be entered with a space. You can find them by entering part of the name or by trying with and without a space.
