Argunners Magazine has attented the 2019 edition of Militracks on Sunday, May 19. It was the second time we visited Militracks (first one was Militracks 2018). After last year the the impressive King Tiger (Panzerkampfwagen VI Königstiger) attented Militracks, it was now the Panther’s turn to steal the show! Both the King Tiger and Panther belong to the Musee des Blindes in Saumur.
Various other tanks attended Militracks 2019 too, such as the Sturmgeschütz III, Hetzer (G-3), Renault FT… Other vehicles included the Kettenkrad, Zündapp KS 600 and 750, Kübelwagen, Schwimmwagen, Steyr 640 and 2000A, schwerer Zugkraftwagen 18t FAMO, Lorraine 37L, Horch, Maultier and so many more…
You can watch our special 12 minute compilation of the Panzerkampfwagen IV Panther in the video below. You’ll be able to see the engine of the Panther being hand cracked started, the turret being rorated a full 360 degrees, hear the engine’s roar and watch it drive.
At Militracks, mainly German Sd.Kfz. vehicles are in the spotlights during two great days (9AM-5PM). Even better, they drive around on our the 1-mile forest circuit. And you can drive along! Furthermore, the War Museum Overloon itself is open (entrance included in Militracks entrance fee). Visit the official website.
