Another great book by Nick Jacobellis that covers the training and tribulations of K-9 dogs, their handlers and the ups and downs of the K-9 Training Academy.
K-9 warriors have long been heralded as the unsung heroes of the battle field and law enforcement operations. Called to do bit and hold, rescue operations, and other take down type of tasks the K-9’s role has expanded other the years while allied forces have deployed to the modern battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan. K-9s have also found a prominent roles with some of our elite SF teams in the US Army, Navy Seals, Counter Terrorism units and other direct action and assault tactical team. The ability to send a specialized, trained K-9 forward ahead of your team to sniff out, and point out threats is a huge combat multiplier that has a direct impact on their ability to defeat the terrorists at the point of entry or during a pursuit.
Have you ever wondering what a dog was thinking? I have. These K-9 troopers are super smart and the book extends our insight into their line of thinking and the way they conduct business at the K-9 Training academy. When Nick first told me of the book concept about 6 months ago I knew it was going to be a big hit and draw a wide audicence. I have passed it around to a few of my K-9 LEO buddies and SF friends and they absolutely love it. I have also passed it around to my civilian friends and they think it is unique as well.
I highly recommend you check out this book and all others by Nick. He has a unique way of telling a story that is structured, straight forward and accentuated with a wry sense of humor as a backdrop. His books are available on Amazon and other places where great books are sold. https://www.amazon.com/K9-Academy-Nick-Jacobellis-ebook/dp/B09LNV5RL1/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=nick+jacobellis&qid=1636920310&sr=8-4
